About
This is the blog of a guy that decided to move from France to work in the UK, more precisely from 93 to EC2M.
I graduated from a top French engineer school in September 2006, and I work in the City of London since October 2006.
After my move I decided to start this blog in order to tell my story, to give people who want to move from their home country to work in the UK some good advices and hints about how to be successful here or anywhere else in the world. Also I speak about a wide range of subjects not necessary bind with my life in London.
I can hear your incoming question from here: Why did I decide to move from France?
My answer is simple (and I’m sure it’s not what you expected): I believe that in our new world - the Information & Communication world - were borders are (almost) annihilated by no-limits internet information sharing system, every individual that is empowered with those new tools should live a part of his or her life abroad, in order to better understand the forces at work in the world. Furthermore, it is a good opportunity to grow and to develop what I call your global versatile identity and to be able to see and understand your home country from abroad.
So, if you believed that I left France because I hate its economic, education, tax and hierarchy systems, then we are not on the same wavelength.
You can explore my thoughts as I define myself as Another International Londoner, i.e. another guy that took the plunge to embrace his international life and decided to grow globally, in a shrunk world, with less distances and time between countries, cultures and ideas.
Enjoy!
